Job Description:

Swippitt is looking for a Manufacturing and Operations Lead to oversee and optimize outsourced manufacturing operations. This strategic leadership role focuses on ensuring high-quality production, cost efficiency, and alignment with company objectives while managing relationships with external manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with the company’s goals.

• Manage relationships with contract manufacturers in Asia, including negotiating agreements and monitoring performance.

• Ensure adherence to production timelines, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

• Work closely with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.

• Optimize inventory levels through effective production forecasting.

• Collaborate with R&D teams to address design-for-manufacture challenges, to streamline transition to production, to manage revision control, and to correct issues discovered in the field.

• Generate a culture of continuous improvement among internal staff and external partners.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations for consumer products with at least 5 years of senior leadership roles managing outsourced production in Asia.

• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and Industry 4.0 technologies.

• Proven track record of managing vendor relationships and driving cost efficiencies and quality in outsourced environments.

• Deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics and regional regulations in Asia.

• Firm on principles and objectives but flexible on methodology.

• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams across geographies.

Location:

• Flexible, but aligned with efficient virtual communication with manufacturing sites and able to be on site as needed.
